Help Clean Up During Float Fest

July 21 - July 23

At least 12,000 will attend, with many floating the river down near Martindale.  The Eyes of the SM River will do an educational and trash collection volunteer event from the SM River Retreat riverside location. Texas Well Owners Workshop

‘Well Educated’ Day Session is a free, one-day educational training for Texas residents who depend on household wells for their water needs. Well Educated is for private well owners who want to become familiar with groundwater resources, septic system maintenance, well maintenance, water conservation, water quality and water treatment. HCP Update on Water Supply to Our Springs

HCP Aquifer model workshop, the long awaited unveiling of the updated and calibrated aquifer models to tell us where we are on the effort to keep our river and the Comal river flowing, even in a drought as bad as the 1950’s one.  I do not know the time or location yet, but will update you later on this.  Just hold the date.

Rainwater Harvesting Workshop

August 2 - August 3

Lecture by green infrastructure expert, Dr. Fouad Jaber, with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will be held 8/2 at the Dr. Eugene Clark Library in Lockhart with a hands-on demonstration to install a rainwater harvesting system the following morning (8/3) at the Caldwell County Justice Center. Wild Rice Survey

August 14 - August 18

Please email rachel@sanmarcosriver.orgto get a copy of the full email with all details about volunteering.  Need 10 to 15 volunteers per day, volunteer for one or several days.  Bank work as well as in the water.
