SM Aquatic Resource Center

March 8, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

A good day for volunteers to be there to get instruction on the work re-potting seedlings and cleaning wild rice tanks that needs to be done in coming weeks, since Leah will be gone March 15 and 22 for these volunteer workdays.  Chris will let the volunteers into the greenhouse if Leah is not there, and Juan will let the building crew into the shop.  This work is at the USFWS refugium on McCarty where volunteers work on the trails and a bird blind, or in the greenhouse growing the plants that are used on our riverbanks, plus working with endangered wild rice.  You really need to be on their email list to get notices about what the volunteers are doing weekly, so head out there tomorrow about 8:30 for a couple of hours or so. Go to their main office first to sign in.  The SMARC is between Hunter and IH 35, on McCarty Lane. Park in the first parking area and walk to the office.
