We have officially received a permit from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept to start removal of the invasive Water Hyacinth that you may have started to notice spreading on the San Marcos River. We did a pretty good job of removing it from Spring Lake at the early part of last year, but Covid hit and that process was stalled. We hope to get back into the lake soon to continue that process, but for now the permit allows us to clean from below Spring Lake Dam all the way down to Staples Lake. We will announce the volunteer dates soon, so if you’re interested let us know! The volunteer spots will be limited to 10 people (5 boats each day) so that we can respect Covid procedures. Stay Tuned!!!
