Angie Ramirez

Angie Ramirez moved with her family to San Marcos in 1984, and it only took one look at the river for her to want to stay. Angie has lived in Blanco Gardens with her husband and three children since 1998. After a long career raising kids and designing patterns in the apparel manufacturing industry, she’s now a Project Management Specialist with Texas Parks and Wildlife.

Over the last 24 years, Angie has been an outspoken advocate for her neighborhood, served 1 year on San Marcos’s Comprehensive Plan Steering Committee, 6 years as a Planning and Zoning Commissioner, 3 years as a Neighborhood Commissioner, and is now on the Blanco Gardens Area Plan Steering Committee.

The basis of most of Angie’s efforts has always been the protection of the San Marcos River, which goes back to her memories of living in Blanco Gardens as a kid and learning how privileged we are to be on the banks of the San Marcos River.
