Eric Mock

Eric moved to San Marcos with his family in 2019 and was immediately immersed in the beauty, history, and splendor of the San Marcos River. Eric was formerly a retired Naval Officer, DOD Contract Program Manager, entrepreneur, and holds an MBA. As an outdoor enthusiast, Eric loves to paddle, enjoys snorkeling, swimming, hiking, and exploring, and strives to stay curious.

Eric works as a river guide for multiple SM outfitters (Texas Canoes & Kayaks & Paddle SMTX) and Recreation Equipment Incorporated (REI) outdoor experience team. He also volunteers for multiple conservation organizations helping with river clean-ups, watering trees, or assisting with trail work.

Eric wants to protect the San Marcos River since it encompasses several aspects of life and needs to be preserved since it’s such a resource and gift.
