A lifetime membership is $500.
Sustaining membership is a reoccurring monthly donation of at least $5/mo.
Students can join for $15.

40th Anniversary & SMRF Member's Meeting

We will be celebrating our 40th Anniversary in San Marcos on February 1st near the Lion's Club in City Park. As always we'll have our Member's Meeting, although it will be more concise this year in order to make room for our Keynote Speaker: Ben Masters!!! If you are not familiar with the work of Ben Masters, you can watch "A River and the Wall," "Deep in the Heart," or "Chasing the Tide." Ben has mastered the art (pun intended) of education through gorgeous cinema, and we are so excited to hear what he has to say.
If you have not renewed your membership for 2024, it's not too late!! Become a member or renew the $35 membership, which will allow you to vote on in-coming board members and receive the Annual Newsletter in the next few weeks. We cannot wait to celebrate SMRF with you, so save the date!
Call for Desserts!
Every year we put out a call for desserts for our Annual Member's Meeting, and this year is no different. We can't wait to see what you clever folks come up with to satisfy our sweet tooth, so if you plan to bring something to the meeting, shoot me a quick email or text so that I can plan accordingly!! We suspect (and hope) that this year will have record attendance, so we really want to make sure there is enough for everyone to enjoy.

For all of you Rene Perez fans out there: Rene has generously allowed us to print 10 of his beautiful photos on canvas for this year’s Annual Meeting Silent Auction. Rene’s style is ever-present in these photos, and we’re so thrilled at his ability to educate through his artwork.
"40 for 40":
With this being our 40th Anniversary, we have a goal of getting 40 sustaining members over the 40 days leading up to our Annual Meeting. A sustaining membership is a monthly donation vs a 1 time annual donation, and is super easy to create on our website. Even $5/month helps us to better plan financially, and the 40 day countdown will start on Monday!!! So- tell your friends, neighbors, and family what the goal is, and let's goooooo!!
